Vegetable Bonda:
Ingredients:
Carrot finely chopped 1/2 cup
Cabbage finely chopped 1/2 cup
Beans finely chopped 1/2 cup
Cauliflower finely chopped 1/2 cup
Peas a fist full
Potato boiled and mashed just 1
Mint leaves finely chopped 1/4 cup
Coriander finely chopped 1/4 cup
Onions finely chopped 1
Green chilies finely chopped 6-8
Bengal gram flour 1-2 cups
Rice flour 1/4 cup
Soda 1/2 spoon dissolved in limited water
Salt
Chili powder 1-2 spoons
Ginger-garlic paste 1-2 spoons
Garam masala powder 1 spoon
Egg white from one egg
Oil for frying.
Method:
Mix all the above said ingredients (except oil) Make a thick batter using limited water.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Drop them as small round balls. Generally few at a time. Fry them till golden brown and crisp.
Serve hot with chutneys...like mint or tomato chutneys.
