Avaraikai Coconut Poriyal:
Chikudukai Koora. Broad Beans/Indian Broad Beans Subzi.
Ingredients:
Broad Beans/Avaraikkai 1/4 kilo
Coconut 1/2 shell(grated)
Salt
Onion 1 small finely sliced(optional)
Green chilies sliced thinly
Turmeric 1 pinch
Mustard seeds 1/4 spoon
Oil few spoons.
Method:
Wash and clean avaraikkai, remove its strings. Slice them to your desire. Set aside.
In a wok, heat oil. Add mustards..wait till they pop.
Now add chilie and onions....saute for few minutes.
Stir-in veggies. Add salt, cover and cook over medium heat.
When they are almost done, add grated coconut and fry for few minutes over high. Remove from heat.
Serve warm as a side dish to go with SOuth Indian meals.
