Aloo Mutton Thanni Kuzhambu:

This is Farah's mother's recipe. They are my neighbours back home(in India). So when I visited my home-town....she shared her best kept secret recipes with me. One such curry recipe is this 'Thanni Kuzhambu'. She adds hint of meat in all her stews and veg dishes and makes them delectable. So you don't hate vegetables any more. Wow...nice idea! So this is her curry....later I tried this on number of veggies....coming up soon!

Ingredients:

Meat 50 grams
Potatoes 2
Onion 1 bulb grated
Chilies 1 sliced
Ginger-garlic paste 1 spoon
Tomato 1 pureed
Salt
Tumeric 1/4 spoon
Chili powder 1 spoon
Curry leaves few
CIlantro few
Oil few spoons.

Method:

Cook meat till tender ina pressure cooker. Set aside.

Boil potatoes too. Pellt hema nd cube them.

In a pan, heat oil. Add curry leaves and chilies.

Add grated onion and ginger-garlic paste. Fry real good...maybe till raw odour leaves the pan.

Now add salt, turmeric and chili powders to it.

Stir-in potatoes and meat along with its broth. Bring them to boil and remove from heat.

Since its 'Thanni Kuzhambu/Watery Curry'...you need not wait to thicken this gravy.

Serve to go with your steamed rice! Awesome!
