To Fight Plagiarism:
I was browsing for my own recipes in a popular search site...I bumped into this site. Seems like a reputed one! The shocking news is...one of their member has intentionally stole my food photographs and recipe content. I really don't care for stealing my recipes....but I do for my pictures. She has done this without seeking permission from me. Sick!!!

chef srividya76 has stolen some of my food pictures and slightly tweaked even my recipes and contributed to the site.

I will never forgive her...for stealing this picture....I publish medicinal uses of certain recipes now and then...thinking that, someone out there may find it useful(I started doing this herbs and greens expalnation, pictures....after my Mommy fell ill with stroke). Now I feel shame to have it published....for someone secretly stealing and publishing! Its really painful!
2. Vazhaithandu Thayir Pachadi

She has mentioned almonds as garlic....pathetic!
Sick, she can't even copy properly...she has misinterpreted almonds as garlic! Oh yeah...I remember now...I typed by mistake garlic once, I guess....Cruel!!!

muttai karakuzhambu. she had mentioned this as chettinad gravy.I was happy when someone kept visiting only for this recipe often......I really feel very low and depressed now!

I seek help from my regular readers and friends(both bloggers & non bloggers). Please support me to fight against this plagiarism. Why do we blog. Hard work and passion is shattered into pieces....by mere cut-copy-paste our stuff somewhere. They call it reputed site and make money. Wish they apologise to me and remove my food pictures immediately!

Malar, sorry that you have become the latest victim of plagiarism. It's been going on for many months now. Web sites and few other bloggers are stealing and posting our photos as their own. I have informed another of our blogger friend that her photo has appeared in of the ifoodtv too.
Some even republish the our whole posts without even asking! So many these days don't seem to have conscience or ethics unfortunately, it's amazing to me. Only thing we can do is tell them remove it, some do it and many don't.
Don't let this get you down, keep blogging. Hope she will take it out all the photos. Good luck girl, hugs to you.
This is a serious concern, dear my support is there with you, First of all immediately on all ur pictures overwrite the name of ur blog. This makes things easy for you and person stealing ur pictures think twice before doing this

OmG, am really very sorry to see this Malar.. my supports r with u...cant believe my eyes, how dare she is na, she should be shame of her acts, dunno how these peoples r happy by stealing other's hard works, she should apologise for this as she copied everything from ur blog..oh no she even stolen ur recent recipe's pics...
Dear Malar, I feel extremely sorry and angry to hear this. I always felt ur site as a unique one with many Tamil Nadu/ Indian herbs. Lets not allow plagiarism . I will do my very best to help u dear. I will post my opposition in their site.

Yes Gita...sure it is frustrating. We really take time to click pictures....cook, display and write about it. People simply cut-copy-paste somwhere else. Indeed commented her politely to remove my pictures. I couldnt mail her. Thank a lot for ur support dear.

Even I have my posts with my step by step pictures in another blog,even with my watermarked pictures...but I tried claiming them but no response...so I left what to do...that to some 7 or 8 posts!!!

Yasmeen I can understand that!....we bloggers know how hard it to collect raw material here(some unique veggies or meat). We make time to click them. Cook them...display and click them again. We dedicate our valuable time to post them with nice anecdote...its like family here. we all know each other for years thro' blogging and common interest. Its normal to react that way. I was angry too...but controlled and publised about her and left only polite comment to her. Don't worry and never apologise for that....thanks for ur support dear.

Malar, I read the posts and I did see what she has done I am very furious about this act... I never thought she was going to be listed as one... I know how much efforts you take to cook and post sply its about the pictures how hard we work to arrange and take the best pictures to be put on the blog... She is such a dummy... Am gonna send her some emails and post some comments on her posts she should feel ashamed and I do see you have become a part of copyscape... we are with you to raise our voice but be brave and we will fight against it for sure...

That is totally unethical. Email her and ask her to remove the content and pics that have been lifted from your blog. Ask her for a proper explanation too.
I don't know how ifoodtv works. But is it possible to contact the admin or something asking for immediate action? Just a thought.

I'm so sorry your pictures were copied. While most recipes are based off of each other, its absolutely unacceptable to use anything other than ones own photos.
Malar, may I suggest something, please do give your links too, the post from which all these recipes were plagiarized from. So people can clearly see what has happened.

Hi Malar this seems like such an awful thing to happen. I understand how much effort it takes to create each post and take pics etc and to have another person just shamelessly copy that is awful. Just a thought could you inform both google search engine and the ad company that is running ads on that website that their content is stolen, they may stop running ads and google will remove from their search database and they may have to stop...
thats is scary and you shud do smtg strong reg this issue...Will pass on the link to u in orkut reg the things u gt to do when smbody steals ur work...
This is just plain shocking. We just need to join together as group and show the copy cats that we will not tolerate day light robbery. I think you have done a great job in fighting against this.

I'm so sorry to hear about this Malar... I understand how awful you must be feeling. Each time the food blogging community comes together to fight against plagiarism but it's very disheartening to see so many folks who just don't care about the effort put in by others and simply copy and take credit... and just seem to ignore it all.

i can feel your pain..we seliver each and every post with much of our creativity work and these copy cats stealing it just with ctrl+c is really cruel..

Hey Malar, I am really sorry for what happened ,its really bad,I know it is so painful to see somebody walking away with the credit for our hard work...that person is a shameless ,inethical CHEF as she puts it, coz at least she should have credited u when she is writing it in her site, that she is using the recipe from u, but no, she has to tell everyone that she is a CHEF, a THIEF CHEF, who steals from others ad takes the credit,without even acknowledging them!

if you notify the blog host (such as Blogger) and can verify the plagiarism (which you obviously can), they can shut the entire offending blog down without warning (and not simply just remove the plagiarized posts). Serves the plagiarist right! I hope they do so.

Vidhya's actions are 100% unethical and our support is with you on this one 100%. It frustrating ot think how someone could "STEAL" another persons hardwork and claim as theirs. Such "Thiefs" dont get very far though. Keep your spirits high and continue posting your awesome creations.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you. I would go to the administrators of that site and tell them to remove your stuff.
Last week I found out that my feed had been taken by a scraper site and was republishing my whole content. I had to switch to short feed. This won't stop people stealing photos or recipes though. :-(

Remember that you are ahead of them. They are lazy and can't be bothered to do the hard work themselves.
That said, contact anyone you can and get their stolen content removed. Get them banned.

This is really bad! I am not hearing this for the first time either, but I'm sure it must feel horrible to have ones work stolen.
We put a lot of our efforts and time in our blogs. This is surely not done!

Sometime back I read about Meeta's picture getting stolen and now yours! This is horrible. I see you have already started taking action! I hope you are successful in getting Srividya, whoever she is down! Is there anything we can do?

I am so sorry about this. I am reading more and more about this recently. I guess such people don't have any ethics or morals and do not respect the effort and love we put into a food blog effort.
But I am glad you and everyone affected by it are very vocal about it to stop it. I wonder how long before I fall prey to this.

I am very sad that this had to happen. I am extremely shocked that some one has shamelessly copied so many of this...I had this experience where some one took my header...I was furious...can u imagine what you wd feel if some one copied so many pics???
