I love mangoes already, just the smell of a ripe mangoe, hmmhh, never tried paayaassam and no wonder, I 'd have finished most of it before even I chop them :) and the coconut scrapings at last , must be adding some munchiness to the smooth blend. nice!

Malar. no doubt Mango is the king of fruits..this payasam is so unique and new to me..would luv to try it..can we substitute mango puree for fresh mango peices??

Payasams are always my favorite from childhood... I cannot make myself wait for further recipes as this one is my favorite.<br /><br />I never knew we can make payasam from mangoes...
